LAQUERRE’S POWER SPORTS & SEGWAY JOIN PATRICK EMERLING AT SCIAPS 200
MOORESVILLE, NC, June 20, 2024 – NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Patrick Emerling today announced he has partnered with Laquerre’s Power Sports and Segway Powersports for Saturday’s SciAps 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS).
Laquerre's Power Sports is proud to announce our partnership with SS-GreenLight Racing and Patrick Emerling this weekend at NHMS for the SciAps 200,” said Laquerre’s Power Sports owner Jeff Laquerre. “My family has been involved in many types of racing over the years, as well as owning and operating two race tracks. Laquerres have raced at NHMS with the American-Canadian Tour since 2009, so it’s really exciting to be involved at this level.”
Located in East Montpelier, VT, Laquerre's Power Sports has been family owned and operated since 1961. They offer product lines from Polaris off-road and snow, Segway Powersports off-road, Princecraft boats and Hewitt docks. Laquerre’s sells, services, stores and repairs all the equipment you need to enjoy outdoor motorsports in New England.
Generations of the Laquerre family have been a part of local short track racing throughout New England since the 1960s. Laquerre’s Power Sports owner Jeff Laquerre’s grandfather Arnand Laquerre was part of the group that built Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT. Jeff’s father Joey started racing as a teenager and still races today at the age of 81. Jeff’s nephew, 15-year-old Jesses is the latest Laquerre to carry on the family tradition on the track.
Granite State De-Icing Supply (GSDS) will join Laquerre’s Power Sports and Segway as a marketing partner for this Saturday’s race. Based in Merrimack, NH, GSDS is a liquid deicing equipment and materials company. Specializing in deicers that allow salt reduction in the snow and ice management industry, GSDS can provide you with the education, equipment and storage of your liquid deicing operation.
Additionally, Emerling will welcome back season-long partners SimForge, which sells sim racing equipment and accessories, and Frontline Optics, a San Diego sunglass brand owned by a retired fire fighter.
Emerling is one of just two drivers who will pull double-duty this Saturday running in both the Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Series. Emerling is optimistic for a strong finish this weekend.
“New Hampshire is one of my favorite tracks,” said Emerling. “I’ve had eight top-five finishes there in the Whelen Tour, and I won the Shootout there in 2019. I want a feature win this time. It’s going to be a packed day, but I think the extra time on the track is an advantage. Especially at a track where I’ve been so successful.”
The green flag drops for the SciAps 200 on June 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The 200-lap race will be broadcast live on USA, PRN and SiriusXM. After the Xfinity race, switch over to FloRacing for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Series Mohegan Sun 100 starting at 6:40 p.m. E.T.
